I have done a few paintings for people recently- it is a change from illustration but slightly daunting. One does not want to disappoint...

This one has turned out good, apart from the purple hair and the fact it looks nothing like the subject! Happy with the radishes though. They look pleasingly plump, to me.

I wanted to make it echo a bit those old cross stitched samplers of very ordered vegetable patches. Also to make it a bit Rousseau-ish with overdone and stylised foliage. With an earth-mother looking figure, tending the veg.

Ill put up a few closeups, because I like the acrylic texture.
